Do I need travel insurance?

Yes. We could leave it there with that one word answer to be honest. It's mandatory for our trips so that we can further mitigate any risks during your travels. We won't check the fineprint of your policy so it is still up to you to make sure you have a satisfactory level of cover in place but we'll ask you for a copy of your policy so that we have it in the event of an emergency. If you're unsure then we've got a couple of personal stories from over the years that might persuade you that travel insurance is a non-negotiable.
